Concepcion, Romblon — A WEmboree camp for youths was held on August 25-27, 2018 at Concepcion, Romblon to inculcate volunteerism and cooperation amongst the Sangguniang Kabataan and other active young members of the community, and develop effective communications and resource mobilization strategies for disaster resiliency.
Activities included lectures on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, emergency response, basic personal water safety, values formation, breakout sessions, physical exercise, amazing race for resiliency and tree planting.
Pledges were committed by the youth to implement projects and activities formulated during the camp with the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
Key partners in the camp were Department of Interior and Local Government of Concepcion, local government of Concepcion, Malampaya Foundation Inc., SIbale Development Inc., Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine National Police.
