In almost all conservation partner communities of Malampaya Foundation (MFI) from North Palawan to Oriental Mindoro, one will find murals with marine conservation themes.
The murals, which is part of MFI’s information education drive with the community, bear images of living things found in the ocean. Schoolchildren, MFI artist Carlos Valino and MFI staff work together to draw and paint the images over a few days on strategically-located and high traffic areas with walls that are available for the undertaking.
The result: colourful and lively ocean images conveying messages of hope, conservation and protection.
