Coron, Palawan-- In partnership with the Coron municipal tourism office, Provincial Tourism Office and the Department of Tourism, a seven (7)-day tour-guiding enhancement training was held with participants totaling 70 from Coron and Linapacan.
The training was aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and ability to assist, facilitate, entertain, and guide tourists and visitors who will visit the municipalities; provide livelihood opportunities, and enhance resource capability for tourism development in the respective localities. The tour guide trainees are now accredited by the Department of Tourism.
Malampaya Foundation supports livelihood, employment and self-employment capacity-building under its socio-economic improvement programs for individuals and community groups through Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST), Sanayan sa Ikauunlad ng Kaalamang PAngkabuhayan (SIKAP_ and Galing at Negosyo Dulot ay Asenso (GANDA).
