Tanglaw Paaralan program brought to Malampaya Sound community

Taytay, Palawan - Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFI) Tanglaw Paaralan program was launched in Palawan on November 5, 2015 at an off-grid public school named Tumbod Elementary School in Bgy. Tumbod located within the Malampaya Sound Protected Landscape and Seascape in Taytay.

Tanglaw Paaralan seeks to enhance the learning experience of off-grid public school students through the provision of solar-powered Knowledge Channel package to the school. The endowment include a solar home system, a large LCD screen and a laptop containing all Knowledge Channel educational programs aligned with the K-12 curriculum. Tumbod Elementary School's counterpart include a secure room, system maintenance and support from the school’s PTC.

The launch was graced and witnessed by members of the barangay local government, Deped Palawan division, MFI, Knowledge Channel and school officials and students.
