Oriental Mindoro—Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) conducted relief operations on July 29, 2021 in the municipalities of Naujan and Baco which were affected by typhoon Fabian which caused massive flooding in certain inland locations due to denuded areas of Mount Halcon.
The typhoon swept through northern-most parts of the Philippines but pulled massive habagat rain clouds through south Luzon and Mindoro on July 20-21, 2021, causing heavy rains in the region.
Over 1,700 relief bags and 500 water jugs were provided to barangays Aurora, Mulawin and Arangin in Naujan municipality and bulk items of rice sacks, water jugs and canned meats to the local government of Baco municipality.
