Oriental Mindoro, MFI sign skills training and job generation partnership anew

Calapan, Oriental Mindoro — The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro and Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) signed a memorandum of agreement anew on April 12, 2018 for partnership in vocational skills training and employment generation for 720 scholar-trainees in coastal municipalities of the province in 2018.

The long-standing partnership started in 2009 and has continued since. It entails the provision of technical-vocational skills training and employment linkages for out-of-school youths and unemployed adults in Oriental Mindoro.

The partnership has produced over 2,100 scholars as at end-2017 with majority having found work in local and overseas industries.
