El Nido, Palawan - Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) signed a conservation covenant with Pagkakaisa Pagtutulungan Kalikasan ay Pakaingatan (PPKP), Bgy Buena Suerte LGU, El Nido-Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area Office (ENTMRPA) witnessed by the El Nido local government for the protection, management and rehabilitation of select Community-Managed Marine Areas (CMMA) as well as environmentally-critical terrestrial areas in Bgy Buena Suerte, El Nido.
The conservation covenant binds the parties to work together towards a common goal of helping regenerate the ecosystem of identified areas, and incentivising the community organization through sustainable livelihood endeavors.
