Batangas City, Batangas — Following a pilot medical mission last November 2017 at Isla Verde in Batangas City, a second mission was held on May 25, 2018 by Malampaya Foundation Inc. and its partners, bringing additional services to the remote community with little access to medical services.
Serving a total of 130 island residents, doctor’s consultations, complete blood count, urinalysis, random blood sugar, circumcision and ultrasound imaging were conducted.
Volunteer doctors, nurses and medical technologists from Philippine Red Cross-Batangas chapter, Batangas Medical Center, PAMET Batangas, Lyceum University Batangas joined the mission, while lab equipment was provided by RHUMBA Inc. and Questcare distributor.
Isla Verde is an island off Batangas City comprised of 6 barangays and is located between the provinces of Batangas and Oriental Mindoro.
