The main target of KALSADA are two and three-wheel vehicles which have been identified among the most vulnerable groups in the city. The training in Batangas is part of a series conducted among motorbike users which aims to teach them how to anticipate and avoid accidents and respond to emergency situations through interactive lectures and practice riding exercises.
The launch comes after piloting training for over 320 motorcycle users and 22 tricycle drivers since July of this year. Trainings are handled by instructors from the Safe-T Ryders Motorcycle Training Center, which offers basic and enrichment riding courses that will help motorcycle riders be safer road users. Participants learn the value and the rudiments of inspecting the motor before travel, different requirements of protective gears, traffic regulations and mandatory signs, road markings, and lane discipline.
