Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) distributed its usual food incentive support to volunteer bantay dagats (sea rangers) and national park rangers (Malampaya Sound and El Nido protected area) in its conservation sites in Batangas city, Oriental Mindoro and north Palawan.
Provision of food support in the form of sacks of rice is among the conservation incentives to strengthen enforcement of marine environment laws and local legislations related to the marine protected areas. Food support is provided to the enforcers together with annual insurance, alternative livelihood support, marine protected area stations, tools, equipment and scholarships for family members.
