Oriental Mindoro — Officials from the Department of Energy's (DOE) natural gas division and petroleum resources development division participated in the release of conservation incentives for active bantay dagat volunteers during a visit to the province on July 24-28, 2017.
The DOE congregation, lead by Director Gil Ansay, visited conservation sites of Malampaya Foundation in partnership with the provincial government of Oriental Mindoro in the municipalities of Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco, Pola, Pinamalayan and Gloria as part of a learning and appreciation visit of an energy contractor’s corporate social responsibility programs and social performance.
The visit included community-based marine conservation, social enterprise development projects and skills training and employment generation program.
