Culion local government, MFI sign MOA for conservation and social programs

Culion, Palawan - The local government of Culion and Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on November 11, 2015 to foster cooperation and collaboration for conservation and various social development programs in the municipality.

MFI has been active in the municipality since 2006 implementing different programs, mostly capacitating indigents for livelihood and employment generation.

The MOA formalises the partnership and cooperation that has been ongoing between the LGU and MFI for several years and to pave the way for more efficient implementation of a complex marine conservation-coastal resource management program in Culion.

The MOA was signed by Culion Mayor Emiliano Marasigan and MFI Executive Director Karen Agabin.
