Coron, Palawan - Trainings in construction and building skills continue in Coron to help rebuild community structures and homes destroyed by Yolanda in November 2013, as well as provide potential alternative employment and livelihood to the trainees.
Trainings in masonry were completed in Barangay Bulalacao and Lajala for a total of 43 beneficiaries, with each participant given a toolkit needed for the trade. Outputs by the participants were the food processing center in Bgy. Bulalacao and an elementary school concrete stage for Barangay Lajala.
Since Yolanda struck in North Palawan, MFI has been capacitating select affected communities through skills training and tools, equipment and material provision as aid to rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts.
