After several months’ training hiatus due to Covid lockdowns, vocational industrial skills trainings resume adopting to ‘new normal’ to help members of neighboring communities become employable in the economic recession resulting from the community quarantine measures imposed by government.
Bridging Employment through Skills (BEST) Trainings in Batangas, Palawan and Oriental Mindoro include scaffolding, electrical installation and maintenance, heavy equipment operation and welding, among others. Hybrid learning strategies and physical and hygiene measures were implemented in all training sites to reduce the spread of Covid.
