Batangas City, Batangas — Eighty five (85) Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) scholars graduated yesterday, August 30, 2018, completing different industrial courses in private Technical Education Skills Development Authority-accredited training centers.
Courses completed by the scholars were piping insulation, scaffold erection and electrical installation and maintenance. Scholars received their National Certificate II at the graduation ceremony graced by representatives from the Batangas local government, Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) and partner centers.
BEST is a flagship program of MFI with the aim of capacitating out-of-school-youths and unemployed adults by building technical expertise. From 2006, over 6,300 have benefitted from the program, with about 80-85% gaining employment in their respective fields.
