Another Quill award for MFI's SHORE program

Manila, Philippines— Malampaya Foundation (MFI) received its second Philippine Quill merit award on July 5, 2017 for its Shoreline Communities’ Onwards to Resiliency (SHORE) program.

SHORE is a flagship program of MFI which aims to capacitate communities in basic and advanced disaster response and preparedness skills, in partnership with institutions such as the Philippine Red Cross, Philippine Coast Guard and various local governments.

A component of SHORE is an information campaign to engage and educate youths at the community-level, providing lecture demonstrations which progresses to full-blown trainings in different barangays.

The Philippine Quill Award is the most prestigious awards program in the field of communication in the country. Annually done for over a decade, it has given recognition to organizations, corporations and academe in the use of communication for social influence and goal achievement.
