Puerto Princesa, Philippines - Sixty-six (66) Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) scholars received their NC II certification upon satisfactory completion of various competencies as BEST scholars at the leading Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-accredited Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trade (PPSAT).
Main competencies completed were in Integrated Construction Skills-Building Operatives (carpentry, electrical installation & maintenance and plumbing), Food and Beverage Services and Housekeeping. Other sub-competencies completed were in basic english proficiency and personal excellence, foreseen to improve the employability of the scholars.
BEST Palawan is partnership between TESDA, the Provincial and Puerto Princesa Public Employment Services Office, Malampaya Foundation Inc. and PPSAT.
