Subic, Zambales - Some 600 scholars graduated today at the last commencement ceremony to be held in Subic by Malampaya Foundation for its programs in the area. The scholars were graduates of the Sanayan sa Ikauunland ng Kakayahang Pangkabuhayan (SIKAP) at Project Galing at Negosyo Dulot ay Asenso (GANDA) programs geared for employment, self-employment and enterprise development and targets indigent women, youth and fisherfolk families.
SIKAP and Project GANDA aims to capacitate scholar trainees in culinary arts, wellness and grooming skills, household cleaning and personal care products development, hardware and appliance servicing and tourism services.
The ceremony, held at White Rock Beach Resort in Subic town, was graced by Malampaya Foundation, its partners in the program and Subic municipal Mayor Jefferson Khonghun as keynote speaker.
