Batangas City, Batangas — More than one hundred forty (140) vocational scholars of Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFI’s) Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) program received their certifications yesterday during the graduation ceremony attended by executives from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Shell Philippines Exploration, Batangas City local government and community leaders.
The finishers were trained in technical courses such as instrumentation, heavy equipment operation, blasting-painting, scaffolding and electrical installation and maintenance, to enable the youths to enter gainful employment in different industries in the country and abroad.
The BEST program was launched by MFI in 2006 and has since benefitted over 8,500 youth trainees, with many eventually landing in-demand industrial jobs overseas.
