Batangas City — One hundred ninety-five (!95) Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) scholars completed their technical-vocational education recently in Batangas City with majority being processed for employment locally and internationally.
Finishers of the vocational scholarship were 60 in piping insulation, 60 in scaffolding, 30 in pipefitting, 20 in instrumentation and 25 in gas tungsten arc welding. All scholars received an NCII certification from the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Keynote speaker Malampaya Foundation Vice-President and Shell Philippines Exploration Managing Director Sebastian Quiniones told the graduates to shun mediocrity, aim for high standards in quality of work and carry out their responsibilities with good moral values and ethics. He likewise encouraged all scholars to save for the future and to always adhere to the guidance of the Almighty.
