Generating employment by equipping out of school youths and unemployed-but-able adults with essential skills is one of the foundation’s biggest successes to help in the alleviation of poverty in the communities where we work.

Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) enables out-of-school youths and unemployed adults to become productive citizens through technical-industrial vocational skills training in welding, pipe-fitting, piping insulation, scaffolding, various construction skills, machining and others. The graduates are likewise provided assistance in landing jobs through Industry Networking (I-Net), a scheme that links trainees to industries in need of skilled workers.

In addition to trade skills, trainees undergo values formation and character-building sessions, as well as English proficiency to make them more competent and confident in landing jobs.

From 2007 to end 2012, BEST has benefitted over 1,300 individuals in Batangas, Oriental Mindoro and Palawan, majority of which are now gainfully employed domestically and overseas.
